![]() It's mid June and the fish are here in big numbers! The salmon fishing is hot for chinook from 10-30 pounds, there is lots of coho in the 5 pound range with a good number of hatchery fish to keep! The fishing is great from Campbell River down to Kitty Coleman across to Grants reef. Its good to see many mix stocks of fish, out of a limit of 4 chinook on Saturday we had a white, marble and red flesh. All gear seems to be working for these fish, but the Clendon Stewart in chrome and Kermit Coyote spoons have worked well for the last couple weeks for me! ![]() The last few weeks, Comox and Campbell River areas have had great fishing for spring salmon! Most of the fish are in the teens, but there is a good number in the twenty pound range also! Campbell River hump and Shelter Pt keep producing well.Kitty Coleman down to Cape Lazo area is full of herring, and some good salmon fishing! I have had luck on Clendon Stewart silver spoons,602 tomic 5 inch plugs, and green spatter back hootchies. The Dog Fish have moved in the shallows so the bait is put away for the rest of the season for me! |
