Well its april and spring is in the air and on the water!
Feeder Chinooks are still around in good numbers and there size is growing by the day.Lots of herring have stuck around this year so that means the salmon are well fed! The usual spots are producing...Bates hump on any tide change, down near bottom with glow hootchy's on one side and try a spoon on the other. Campbell river hump has bin producing some good size springs also. The "green can" to Fransisco point has fished well in the last few weeks also.Try running one side deep(near bottom) and the other about mid water with bait.Anchovies or small herring seem to be the ticket! Crabbing remains great with all my guests going home with a huge feed of fresh crab! Prawn fishing is still strong in most areas.I find most reefs and shoals produce well when fishing from 320 to 400 feet. Tight lines. Chris Comments are closed.
